Noblesville police investigate overnight death

At approximately 2:04 a.m. July 31, Noblesville Police Dept. officers and Noblesville Fire Dept. firefighters responded to the 14300 block of northbound Ind. 37 after a report of a medical emergency alongside the highway.

Upon arrival, officers located a female, Alyssa Elliot, 35, of Noblesville, in medical distress. Based on witness statements and evidence at the scene, it was reported that a 2019 Ford F-250 crew cab pickup was traveling northbound in the 14300 block of Ind. 37 when the backseat passenger exited the vehicle through the backseat passenger side window as vehicle was moving.

The passenger incurred significant injuries as a result of the incident and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sean Schledt, 43, of Noblesville was driving the truck. There was also a juvenile occupant seated in the front passenger seat of the vehicle. Schledt is the fiancé of Elliot, and he claimed he picked her up from Eddy’s Sports Pub, 14160 Mundy Dr. Schledt said he was unaware of Elliot’s intentions and was unable to stop the vehicle prior to her jumping out the window.

The Hamilton County Coroner’s Office will conduct the investigation.
