ISDH reports 1,253 additional COVID-19 cases, another daily record

The Indiana State Dept. of Health today announced 1,253 additional Hoosiers have been diagnosed with COVID-19, bringing to 72,254 the total number of Indiana residents known to have the new coronavirus, following corrections to the previous day’s dashboard.

A total of 2,821 Hoosiers have died from COVID-19, an increase of 10 since yesterday. Another 202 probable deaths have been reported based on clinical diagnoses in patients for whom no positive test is on record. Deaths are reported based on when data is received by the ISDH and occurred over multiple days.

As of today, nearly 33 percent of ICU beds and nearly 81 percent of ventilators are available across the state.

To date, 817,104 tests for unique individuals have been reported to the ISDH, up from 804,345 on Thursday.
