Westfield listed No. 6 on Best Places to Live list

Money Magazine recently released its Best Places to Live list, and Westfield ranked No. 6. Westfield was the only city in Indiana to make the list.

“It is an honor to be recognized as one of Money Magazine’s Best Places to Live in the United States,” Mayor Andy Cook stated. “It is a testament to what our community has done together. Westfield is successful not because of one entity or one person. It is because we have a culture where we all work together and bring out the best of each other. I think being recognized this year, of all years, is even more special for our community.”

Westfield was recognized for its schools and Grand Park. The Best Places to Live listed 50 towns and cities where the economy, job growth and housing market remained strong despite the COVID-19 pandemic. The list evaluated cities with at least 25,000 people and put the greatest emphases on economic factors such as employment opportunities and supply and demand for homes. It also evaluated cost of living, quality of schools, racial and economic diversity and health and safety.

Evans, Ga., ranked No. 1.

“This year, given the general uncertainty around where and how we’ll live, our list looks a little

different,” stated Prachi Bhardwaj, lead reporter of Money’s Best Places to Live. “We shifted our priorities to pay more attention to cities that aren’t just doing well now, but that show great promise and stability for the next five to 10 years. We also included suburban towns situated further away from major metros and have more industry diversity than you’ve seen from our list in years past.”
