Zionsville Fire Dept. extinguishes house fire

At 7:50 a.m. Nov. 14, Zionsville firefighters were dispatched to the 1800 block of S. C.R. 900 E. for a report of a house fire.

The homeowner stated that they were alerted by the sound of smoke detectors going off and saw smoke coming from a utility room, according to a town press release. Zionsville Fire Dept. crews arrived and were quickly able to contain the fire to the utility room.

There were no injuries to firefighters or the residents, according to the town. The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The Whitestown Fire Dept.and Boone County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
