The Noblesville Police Dept. is investigating a shooting that killed two people Dec. 17.
At 1:28 p.m., NPD officers responded to 15905 Plains Road in response to the report of a shooting inside a residence. Upon arriving on scene, officers found two victims suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. The female victim was identified as Kristin Tomalia, 37. The male victim was Rene Tomalia, 43. Both victims suffered at least one gunshot wound, and both later died from their wounds. It was confirmed they were a married couple.
Investigators petitioned for and were later granted a search warrant in order to process the scene and collect evidence. Based on witness statements and alleged evidence at the scene, investigators believe that there is no cause for public concern regarding any additional suspects in the case. This case remains under investigation.
