Noblesville Diversity Coalition to present panel on MLK Jr. Day

Several Noblesville churches and organizations, including the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce, Noblesville Schools, Noblesville Diversity Coalition, are hosting a community conversation about race and equity on Jan. 18, Martin Luther King Jr. Day.

A press release from the Noblesville Diversity Coalition said the discussion will focus on what progress the city has made in terms of race and equity and what the city’s greatest needs are. The panel discussion will be from noon to 1:30 p.m.

Panel members include representatives from Bethel AME Church, Noblesville First United Methodist Church, White River Church, Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church, Noblesville Schools, Noblesville Chamber of Commerce and Noblesville Diversity Coalition. Presenters will work to promote diversity and foster racial conversations.

The release stated, “Noblesville Diversity Coalition believes engaging in honest and open dialogue is a step toward our community becoming more welcoming and inclusive for everyone.”

The panel discussion will be broadcast live on the NDC Facebook page. Residents can submit questions and concerns on the NDC Facebook page or at noblesvillediversitycoalition.org by Jan. 14.
