According to the document, police were called to the 3500 block of Rolling Springs Drive shortly after 6 p.m. Feb. 21 by a neighbor reporting a domestic dispute and a man lying in the driveway. David Claerbout was pronounced dead at the scene with multiple stab wounds to the hand, chest, back and abdomen.

Police found Marcia Claerbout inside the home in handcuffs and with bruises and lacerations on her body. Marcia Claerbout told police that her son, Christopher Claerbout, had arrived at the home in the morning and at approximately 9 a.m. shoved her down the stairs as she prepared to leave for a class. She said he then handcuffed her and tied her up with an extension cord. She told police that her son ranted and raved throughout the day, spouting various conspiracy theories.

According to the affidavit, David Claerbout arrived home at approximately 6 p.m., walked into the house to ask what was going on and then went into the garage with Christopher Claerbout, where Marcia Claerbout heard them talking heatedly. She soon heard screams and freed herself enough to run outside to yell for neighbors to call 911.

Marcia Claerbout told police that her son left the scene in her husband’s Chevrolet Traverse, according to the affidavit. Police used OnStar technology to track and disable the vehicle in Clark County. Christopher Claerbout fled into a wooded area on foot, and police used a K-9 unit to track him down. Police located a black knife in the center console of the vehicle.

During an interview with police, Christopher Claerbout told investigators that he put his mother in handcuffs to hold her under the war crimes act. He accused his parents of multiple crimes and told police that he is Donald Trump, his mother is Hillary Clinton, and his father is Bill Clinton.

Christopher Claerbout refused to answer questions about encountering his father earlier in the day.
