The Carmel fire and police departments presented a Ceremony of Remembrance to remember lives lost in the Sept. 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The event, held Sept. 11 at the Carmel Clay Veterans Memorial, began at 8:46 a.m., which is when the first plane struck the World Trade Center North Tower in 2001.
