Noblesville Schools selects new superintendent, board approval pending

Hamilton Southeastern Schools Assistant Supt. Beth Niedermeyer has been selected as the new superintendent of Noblesville Schools, pending final board approval on July 15.

Dr. Beth NiedermeyerNiedermeyer is expected to replace Dr. Libbie Conner, who is retiring Sept. 1. Her contract will be formalized by the Noblesville School Board at a public hearing on July 1.

“Dr. Niedermeyer rose to the top of our selection process, which initially included over 30 candidates, based on her passion, experience and ability to build strong relationships,” stated Pat Berghoff, Noblesville school board president.

In her position at HSE, Niedermeyer led curriculum instruction practices, 1:1 student technology initiatives, a restructuring of the high ability program and Title One grants and instruction.

“Noblesville Schools is an innovative, forward thinking district with a wonderful small town community feel,” she stated. “It’s one of the top performing districts in the state of Indiana, and I’m really excited at the idea of being part of the amazing initiatives that have been happening here. My vision is to strengthen relationships and work collaboratively with the community, parents and Noblesville Schools staff towards forwarding our common education goals.”

Prior to her time at Hamilton Southeastern, Niedermeyer served as the Assistant Superintendent at the Metropolitan District of Pike Township, and is also a graduate of Indiana Purdue University- Ft. Wayne, Purdue University and Ball State University.

Niedermeyer and her husband, Bob, plan to relocate to the Noblesville area.
