Carol M. Fiechter, 69, of Noblesville died July 25, 2014 at her residence. Born Feb. 26, 1945 in Bluffton, she was the daughter of Russell and Gwen (Sommers) Payne.

She received a master’s degree in journalism from Ball State University and was a teacher, journalist and business woman. She was a member of College Park Church in Indianapolis.

Survivors include her husband, Ray Fiechter; daughters, Shantel (Jim) Morris, Shurell (Jeff) Robinson and Natalie (John) Menke; grandchildren, Dylan and Kyla Morris, Zoe and Ashton Robinson, and Jaelyn, Samuel, Logan and Emma Menke; and brothers, Ronald and Richard Payne.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Hartman.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. July 30 at College Park Church, 2606 W. 96th St., Indianapolis, with Dr. John Isch and the Rev. Arthur Ringger officiating. Visitation is 3 to 9 p.m. July 29 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Rd., Noblesville. An additional visitation will be one hour prior to the service Wednesday in the chapel on the west side at College Park Church. Burial will follow at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.

In lieu of flowers, potted plants may be donated, or memorial contributions may be made to Midwest Food Bank – Indianapolis Division, 6450 S. Belmont St., Indianapolis, 46217.
