Impressive credentials have helped Dr. David Judy DDS, sustain success as an orthodontist, but passion and care for his patients have earned him a fulfilling 20-year career. Dr. Judy of Judy Orthodontics will have been practicing orthodontics for 20 years this September, and he has the loyal and happy clients to show for it.

Dr. Judy grew up on a small farm south of Fort Wayne before attending dental school at Indiana University. He volunteered for the U.S. Army Dental Corps, allowing him to travel with his family and live in several different states, as well as Germany. He eventually returned home to Indiana though, where he set up camp in Zionsville to raise his son and daughter and begin his practice.

Since then, Dr. Judy has been serving the Zionsville and central Indiana community with quality orthodontic work and a friendly, kind demeanor.

“I grew up in a small community in Indiana, and Zionsville gives that sense of community, small community, yet I also have the benefit of being right next door to Indianapolis,” Dr. Judy said. The majority of Dr. Judy’s clients come from Zionsville, Carmel, and the northwest area, making his office located on 106th Street a prime location to practice his passion of orthodontics, which he said he found while working in the army.

“I was a general dentist for ten years and then I had the opportunity to try different areas of specialty in dentistry, and orthodontics is where my passion was,” Dr. Judy said. “I like working with kids, I like working with adults, and I like the things that orthodontics can do.”

As for the future of his practice, Dr. Judy is excited to see where technology and new developments are going to take orthodontics.

“For the orthodontics patient, it’s going to be easier treatment in shorter periods of time to get good results. There’s more and more things that you can do with orthodontics.”

Besides the technologic and cosmetic aspects of his practice, though, Dr. Judy will always enjoy the difference orthodontics can make in a person’s life.

“Besides changing smiles, it can also bring the best out in personalities,” he said, and plans on continuing to use his skills and experience to put smiles on the faces and in the hearts of the central Indiana community.
