Indianapolis Children’s Choir performs at St. Mark’s in Carmel

Two Indianapolis Children’s Choir Ensembles will present a free concertSunday, April 19 at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church, 126th St. & Gray Rd. in Carmel. The 3 p.m. performance will feature the Bella Voce, an all-female high school age choir conducted by Amy Hughley and Kantorei, an intermediate ensemble, conducted by Ruth Dwyer.

Currently in its 29th season, the Indianapolis Children’s Choir has grown to become one of the largest children’s choirs in the world. Founded by Artistic Director Henry Leck, the ICC serves over 3,000 central Indiana children from pre-school age through high school. The Indianapolis Children’s Choir nurtures and inspires student achievement through quality music education and the pursuit of artistic excellence in choral music performance. The choirs of the ICC have performed regularly at national music conventions, community and civic functions, a variety of sporting events and on six continents.  This summer, ICC choirs will be touring to London & Paris, as well as Denver CO and Charleston, SC.
