The May death of a Carmel man at the Chatterbox Jazz Club in downtown Indianapolis has been ruled a homicide.
The Marion County Coroner’s Office said that Michael Lanter, 31, died from the rupture of a brain aneurysm following blunt trauma to the head.
Previous local media reports stated that Lanter hit his head after getting into a fight at the bar on Massachusetts Ave. The case is still under investigation and charges have not yet been filed.
