Pipeline maintenance and integrity test work is being conducted this week between the Rohrer Road pump station, near Rohrer Road and Nevelle Lane, and Wood River’s Muncie terminal. The 12-inch pipeline, that runs between the pump station and 151st Street at Oak Road, will be tested according to the Federal Dept. of Transportation’s safety regulations for an onshore interstate steel pipeline.
The final test will occur at 7 a.m. Dec. 15, lasting approximately eight hours. If there is a pipeline leak or rupture during this test, the community is asked to contact Wood River at 800-331-4115.
