David A. Kriehn, 66, Noblesville, died Feb. 13 at St.Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born Feb. 6, 1951, to Gordon and Eleanor (Bischoff) Kriehn in Milwaukee, Wisc.
David graduated from Northwestern University and received a Masters of Divinity from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. He and Joan served as missionaries to Taiwan from 1988-2001. David was a manager for Famous Dave’s BBQ in Indianapolis and enjoyed gardening, reading and crossword puzzles. He also loved to bake. Bread was his specialty. Most of all, David enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joan Kriehn, father Gordon Kriehn, children Greg (Renee) Kriehn, Kristi (Pete) Powell, Jeff (Erin) Kriehn, and Laura (Jonathan) Pilarski, brother Richard (Barb) Kriehn and grandchildren Olivia, Andrew, Leah and Daniel Kriehn, Arianna, Conner and Brielle Powell and Emma, Ethan and Elijah Kriehn. David’s mother, Eleanor Kriehn, preceded him in death.
