A new childhood education center is set to open in early August at 7061 E. Whitestown Pkwy. in Whitestown. The Rainbow Child Care Center will be the 16th Indiana location for the company and will serve Zionsville and Whitestown families.
“We recognized the need for high-quality child care and early education in the area,” said Emily Weitz, Rainbow Child Care Center marketing specialist. “The social and educational development of children is crucial for every thriving, growing community, and we are thrilled to help provide a solution for families.”
The center serves children age six weeks to 12 years old. Its goal is to “provide continuity between home and school in a safe and secure environment.”
“We believe it is important for children to maintain a familiar and comfortable routine, which serves as the core of our Home Away from Home philosophy,” Weitz said. “At Rainbow, we understand that a nurturing atmosphere, a defined curriculum and parents and teachers who work as partners will prepare children for their future academic careers, and inspire a love of lifelong learning.”
The new center will include specially designed, age-appropriate classrooms, a full-size indoor gymnasium, a splash pad and fully equipped outdoor playgrounds. Rainbow also offers programs that promote a healthy lifestyle through physical activity and nutrition.
“Each program is designed for specific age groups to ensure every child is engaging in developmentally appropriate enrichment activities,” Weitz said.
Weitz said parental involvement is a crucial component to the success of a child’s educational achievement.
“Research has proven children are more successful learners when their parents are actively involved in their learning, both at home and at school,” she said. “To support parents as partners, we encourage families to be involved in their child’s educational process. Rainbow Child Care Center offers an open-door policy, allowing parents to visit and participate in our programs at all times, fostering a sense of openness and inclusion.”
