Rochester- based Rochester Medical Implants (RMI), a  manufacturer of high precision spinal and orthopedic implants and instruments, has decided to move its operations from Rochester to 9650 E. 148th Street in Noblesville. Their new home will be within the Noblesville Business Park which is also within the 3,600-acre Noblesville Corporate Campus.
Mayor John Ditslear recently spoke to RMI President James Evans and welcomed RMI to Noblesville saying: “We welcome
Rochester Medical Implants to the community and are optimistic that our cluster of  medical  device developers and manufacturers will continue to grow.” Recently the IBJ listed the 25 largest Indianapolis-area Medical Device and Medical Product Developers. Noblesville is currently home to 3 of the top 25. King Systems, manufacturer of anesthesia and respiratory care products ranked number 3 with 400 full time employees; Helmer, Inc.  manufacturer and global distributor of products and processing for storing
biologicals and  blood ranked number 7 with 150 employees; and Therametric Technologies Inc., manufacturer of the FluoreCam dental instrument, Tarter Shield pet dental products and dental product testing was number 22 with 12 employees.
RMI plans on opening their Noblesville location by October of this year. Once in Noblesville, RMI will be the 16th
largest  employer  with 28 employees.
In his conversation with Noblesville Mayor John Ditslear, Mr. Evans said RMI chose to move to Noblesville due to its ability to attract needed talent and because of Noblesville’s proximity to key markets and customers.
