The Indiana Department of Transportation will narrow traffic and implement a lane switch on U.S. Highway 31 at the State Road 38 interchange construction site on Thursday, March 15.
Two lanes of southbound U.S. 31 traffic will be redirected to a single lane at the new bridge spanning S.R. 38 on the east side of the roadway. Northbound traffic will also be narrowed to a single lane. The traffic switch is scheduled to occur after 9 a.m., possibly around midday.
Motorists on southbound U.S. 31 in Hamilton County will no longer have access to S.R. 38. Drivers on S.R. 38 will not be able to access southbound U.S. 31. Meanwhile, S.R. 38 access will be maintained to northbound U.S. 31.
INDOT advises motorists at Noblesville to use S.R. 32 as an alternate route. Drivers enroute to Sheridan can travel S.R. 32 west to U.S. 421, then north to S.R. 47 and east to Sheridan.
