Texas Raiders emerge from an eight-year drought

On August 1 at the Indy Executive Airport, visitors will have a chance to take a ride in one of only 11 remaining flyable B-17 bombers. The WWII-era birds, owned by Commemorative Air Force and operated by Gulf Coast Wing, will make a one-day stop in Zionsville. Tours are from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., with rides beginning at 2 p.m. Tours are $5 for adults, $3 for children and free for WWII veterans. Rides are $425 each, and $625 for a guaranteed seat in the nose of the plane. For more information, please call 817-304-0393.
