With flu season at its peak, Riverview Hospital has announced added precautions to protect its patients, families, staff members and the community from unnecessary exposure to influenza. On Jan. 18, Riverview Hospital implemented these temporary visitation restrictions:1. No visitors with influenza-like illness, fever or cough.

2. No visitors under the age of 18, unless special arrangements have been made.

3. No visitors except immediate family, partner or significant other.

“We will continue to monitor conditions and remove the restrictions as soon as it is safe to do so,” Riverview Hospital Spokeswoman Olivia Huser said.
