WEB-TailgatingOur survey found that the favorite foods for a Game Day open house are: Buffalo wings, specialty dips for veggies and crackers, meat balls for subs and general munching, and bread bowls filled with cheese or spinach dip.  Here’s a great recipe for your party.

This Bread Bowl Sausage Dip will have your Super Bowl guests sneaking back to your snack table with embarrassing frequency.  Round breads can be found at Panera and Fresh Market outlets as well as many other grocery stores.

2 lbs. Johnsonville Hot Italian sausage

16 oz. cream cheese (2 pkgs.)

7 oz. can Old El Paso mild green chilis

16 oz. sour cream

1 cup black olives chopped

16 oz. shredded cheddar cheese

2 Round loaves of bread

DIRECTIONS:

Brown the sausage, then drain it and mix with all other ingredients. Scoop out the center of a round bread making a bowl. Fill bread bowls with your mixture and bake at 350 for about 20 minutes or until bubbly. Serve with your favorite corn chips or other dippers.
