Fishers Town Council member David George has filed for Fishers City Council, Southwest District 5. He has served with Fishers Town Council since 2003.

“I have had the privilege of serving the Town of Fishers, and specifically the Southwest district for over 11 years,” George said. “Our community has grown considerably during my time as a member of the Fishers Town Council. I look forward to continuing to help make Fishers a great place to live, work, and play while maintaining a commitment to responsible, conservative government.”

George has worked to improve Fishers’ infrastructure during his 11 years serving with Fishers Town Council. Some of the recent infrastructure improvements have included a roundabout at the intersection of Fall Creek & Brooks School roads, various path connection projects, I-69 and the 116th Street interchange improvements as well as approval for an interchange at I-69 and 106th Street.

“This interchange will not only help to alleviate traffic from the 116th Street exit, but it will also allow for hundreds of acres of land to be used for business development,” George said.

George has also assisted Fishers through many other projects over the years, including the downtown redevelopment plan and the Nickel Plate District, which includes the amphitheater as well as Launch Fishers.

“Throughout my time on the town council, I have shown a strong commitment to responsible, fiscally conservative government,” he said. George said he believes that the Fishers community has always benefited from quality services that are readily available and are also provided in an efficient manner.

“Fishers has kept its taxes low during my time as a member of the town council, which has encouraged the tax base to grow and create more services that were not previously available,” he said.

George moved to Fishers shortly after graduating from Purdue University with a degree in civil engineering. He also received his MBA from Butler University with a concentration in finance. George is a senior project manager for Kite Realty and is the president of David George & Associates, a real estate company. George has lived in the Southwest District in Fishers for 18 years.
