Boone County Councilman, Steve Jacob, has filed to run for reelection.  A 32-year Boone County resident, Steve Jacob has served on the Boone County Council since 2002. He presently holds the office of President of the Council. The Boone County Council is the financial power of the county, serving as a check on the Board of County Commissioners as well as setting the county tax rate; making appropriations, reappropriations, transfers of funds and adoption of annual budgets.

SteveJacobHero1To help communicate with voters, Jacob has launched a new website and Facebook page for his re-election campaign.

Steve Jacob, in announcing his re-election campaign, discussed important issues that face Boone County communities; including keeping our communities strong, support for our award winning schools, a positive business environment, and protecting taxpayer dollars.  Jacob also stressed the importance of council members bringing efficiencies to local government and promoting thoughtful, long-term solutions.

The website is www.stevejacobforcountycouncil.com and contains a bio on Steve, his business and public service experience and his position on various county issues. The site will also be continually updated with news.

A Facebook page Steve Jacob for County Council has also been posted and will contain news, appearances and timely comments as the primary election unfolds.

“We created the website to give voters a good idea of who I am, my values and my vision for the county council,” said Steve Jacob. “Experienced leadership on the County Council is a very important factor in this coming primary election. We hope our website provides people with a clear picture of the challenges we face how I work to bring a constructive and thoughtful voice,” he said.
