Renae Marie Ervin Allogia Symons, 53, of Carmel, died April 2, 2014. She was born June 7, 1960, in Cincinnati, to the late John and Dorothy Roth Ervin. She is survived by her husband, Douglas; four children, Joe (Kelly) Allogia, Stephen Allogia, Caroline and Chandler Symons; three stepchildren, Matthew Symons, Courtney (Luke) Livesay, Ashton Symons; a granddaughter, Sophia; two brothers, Robert (Barb) Ervin, Gary Ervin; a sister, Cindy (Arch) Stanton; and many nieces and nephews. Renae lived her life with passion and purpose. Whether it was with jewelry or diamonds, renovating a house or working at an event with her Chocolate Fountain business, she loved the excitement. Her greatest passion though was her family and dogs. We know she has found a place in the sun and on the beach to rest before carrying on and fulfilling her commitment of serving God. A funeral service was conducted April 7 at Geist Christian Church in Indianapolis. Burial was at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery in Indianapolis.
