The Noblesville Main Street Board of Directors announced it has accepted the resignation of Executive Director Renee Oldham effective June 27.
Oldham, who will be pursuing opportunities in the private sector, has served as NMS executive director since December 2012. She previously served as the executive director of Main Street Richmond – Wayne County for 17 years.
“It has been a real privilege to lead Noblesville Main Street and I have appreciated working with such a dedicated board of directors, downtown businesses, and city administration who are committed to the mission of the organization,” Oldham stated. “Working together we have accomplished a great deal in the past 16 (months). I have the utmost confidence in the board of directors and that the organization will continue to work towards the sustainability of a vibrant and thriving downtown core.”
NMS Board President Michael Chesser said Oldham helped the organization grow and refocus its mission on the four pillars of economic development, design, organization and promotions.
“Renee wrote and implemented our organizations refocused strategic plan and was instrumental in the implementation. Oldham’s outside-in perspective helped identify the need for the collaborative development of a new mission statement for the nonprofit and it was the same perspective that helped create the new ‘Hipstoric’moniker that is being branded and attached to the fun and beauty of downtown Noblesville. We genuinely wish her all the best in her new endeavors,” he stated.
Officials said all Noblesville Main Street events will continue as scheduled during this transition period. In the interim, the NMS board will be establishing a search committee to begin its exploration for a new executive director. During the temporary period, the Noblesville Main Street executive committee of Chesser, Darren Peterson, vice president; Alex Pinegar, secretary; and Beau Parsons, treasurer; will be the primary contacts for Main Street.
