U.S. Rep. Susan Brooks (R-Carmel) stopped by Carmel High School on May 22 to recognize three graduating seniors that she recommended for the service academies.
Cole Highum will attend the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
Eli Carlson and Jessica Lecher will attend the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis.
Brooks recommended the three students for admittance and said that they would receive the equivalent of a $400,000 scholarship in exchange for a 5-year commission following their graduation.
