Denny Gilbert, 63, of Noblesville, died Aug. 16, 2014 at Riverwalk Village. Born Jan. 18, 1951 in Greenfield, he was the son of Ova and Opal (Browning) Gilbert.
He proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for two years and in the Merchant Marine for two years during the Vietnam War. He worked as a semi truck driver for 30 years before retiring.
Survivors include his daughter, Christina Denell Neeb; sister, Barbara (Jerry) Baskin; brothers, Kenneth C. (Debra Darlene) Gilbert, Dave M. (Brenda) Gilbert and James E. (Robin) Gilbert; sister-in-law, Sandy Gilbert; and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Don and Billy Ray Gilbert.
Funeral services are 1 p.m. Aug. 21 at Bethel Missionary Baptist Church, 11818 Ind. 32 East, Noblesville, with the Rev.’s Mark Lowe and Alan Schoeff officiating. Visitation is 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 20 at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery.
