Alec Yoder, a 17 year-old gymnast that practices in Zionsville’s Interactive Academy, took the bronze at yesterday’s competition of the Youth Olympics in China. He walked away with the all-around best athlete bronze award.
Yoder said this is just one step towards his goal of competing in the Rio de Janeiro Olympics in 2016.
“Absolutely. It shows me that this dream of Rio isn’t too far, that I’m on the right track & headed towards the ultimate goal,” Yoder said after his win in Nanjing, China.
