Fishers Fire Corps trauma kit fundraiser

In a continued effort to “Protect the Heart of Fishers,” Fishers Department of Fire and Emergency Services has partnered with Hamilton Southeastern School District to raise funds to purchase trauma kits for over 1000 class rooms.

The majority of school attacks are over prior to the arrival of emergency personnel, leaving wounded and caregivers in need of medical attention and supplies.  To prepare and alleviate this shortfall, funds are being raised to purchase small trauma kits for each class room in every school.  This kit is designed for traumatic injuries and gives those on the scene the ability to render appropriate care sooner.

The cost of outfitting these classrooms is estimated at $65,000. A fun event is being held to help raise these funds. Putt-ing out the Fire will be held at Ben and Ari’s Family Fun Center on September 13, 2014, 11am-4pm. The ticket price includes unlimited miniature golf and your choice of a hamburger or hot dog, chips and a drink. There will also be other activities such as kid’s games, fire apparatus, vendor tables, a 50/50 put-off, a dunk tank, and more.

Tickets for the event are $12.00 for adults and $10.00 for children under 12 and may be pre-purchased at  www.fishersfirefoundation.eventbrite.com. Tickets are $15.00 and $12.00 on the day of the event. You can also donate at this site if you are unable to attend. For more information please contact [email protected]
