After the evening rush hour on Wednesday, Sept. 10, crews plan to shift traffic on US 31 to the east side of the roadway near 136th Street (weather permitting) to begin construction on the western half of US 31. One lane of northbound and southbound traffic will be maintained between 136th Street and the Monon Trail crossing just south of 146th Street.
Traffic on southbound US 31 will exit into the 136th Street/Eglin Drive/Rohrer Road roundabout. Motorists wishing to access northbound US 31 from 136th Street must enter via the new ramp east of US 31. One lane of eastbound and westbound traffic will be maintained on 136th Street underneath the new US 31 bridge.
