Everett B. Smith, 85 of Indianapolis passed away Sept. 29.. He was born on November 29, 1928 in Lebanon to the late Chester and Deleda Blaine Smith. Everett was a 1946 graduate of Perry Central High School. He worked as a driver for Kern, Kirtley and Herr Elevator before retiring in 2001. He was one of the original volunteer firemen with the Perry Township Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, Betty; sons, Larry (Cyndi), Roger (Wendy), David (Mary Lynn) and John (Susan); 6 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and a brother, Raymond.
Family and friends will gather on Thursday, Oct. 2nd from 4-7 p.m. in Colonial Hills Baptist Church, Indianapolis. The funeral service will be held Friday, Oct. 3rd at 10 a.m. with calling one hour prior to service in the church. Burial will follow in Lincoln Memory Gardens.
