Fishers police issue safety advisory as search for person of interest continues

The Fishers Police Department has developed some information that we would like to share with the public. All available resources are being implemented to identify and locate the person(s) involved in this homicide. For the present time, we strongly encourage residents to implement extra safety precautions. Residents should call 911 immediately if they observe suspicious people or suspicious activity. They are also encouraged to remain vigilant and maintain a heightened sense of awareness. Residents should keep their doors lock and garage doors down. Residents are advised to walk in pairs and make certain someone knows their destination, route, and estimated time of arrival/return.

Detectives have developed a description of a person of interest. According to witnesses this person was last seen in the Windermere Neighborhood Park just prior to the discovery of the victim. This person of interest is described as a white male, 30-45 years of age, 5’8”-6’ tall, wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt, and riding a mountain bike. Residents should call 911 immediately if they know this person or see someone matching this description.

The victim has been identified as Mr. Henry Kim. Mr. Kim is a resident of the Windermere Neighborhood and according to his family he is an avid walker. Mr. Kim suffered an apparent gunshot wound and an injury to his neck. More information regarding the cause of death may be released following the autopsy.
