The parish of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church of Carmel (home of the annual Greek Fest) is hosting a fun evening of wine tasting and smooth jazz to raise funds for the humanitarian relief efforts of the International Orthodox Christian Charities.
IOCC is a humanitarian organization that offers emergency relief and development programs to those in need worldwide, without discrimination. Since 1992, IOCC has been on the front-line in the fight against poverty, delivering immediate assistance in times of crisis and sustaining long-term recovery through development programs.
Every dollar you raised helps IOCC secure $6.98 support from governments, foundations, ecumenical organizations and other funding sources. Ninety-two percent of IOCC’s resources are used for humanitarian relief and development programs in places like Ethiopia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Iraq, Georgia and the United States.
The fundraiser is on Nov. 15, and cost is $45 which include five wine tasting tickets.
