Applicants are being sought for fire departments across Hamilton County. A joint firefighter application process has been launched to include departments from five area governments in Hamilton County.
The recruitment includes:
- Carmel Fire Department
- Fishers Fire & Emergency Services
- Jackson Fire Territory
- Noblesville Fire Department
- Westfield Fire Department
Applications will be accepted online through the City of Carmel (www.carmel.in.gov), Indeed (www.indeed.com) or Government Jobs (www.governmentjobs.com).
The opportunity to apply to all or selected fire departments is included within the application. The job posting will close at 11:59 p.m. on December 31, 2014.
The City of Carmel is hosting the website and will compile applications to build an eligibility list of prospective candidates. Once eligible applicants have completed a written test and oral interview, the list is ranked and shared with partnering agencies for filling firefighter positions.
