Why did you become a teacher? I have always loved working with children and wanted to choose a career in which I felt I could make a positive difference in the lives of others.

What goals do you have for your students? I want my students to love learning, to challenge themselves, to dream big and to realize anything is possible in their futures.

What do you encourage parents to do at home to help their children strengthen particular skills? I encourage parents to stay involved in their child’s progress – to celebrate their successes, to encourage when things are difficult and to model/share their love of reading. I also promote less “screen” time.
