L’Ecole Francaise students celebrate winter

0

Students at four Zionsville elementary schools’ before-school French programs celebrated the end of the semester with a winter fête on Dec. 17. They performed songs and skits to demonstrate their language skills then enjoyed traditional holiday foods such as Buche de Noel – or Yule Log cake.

More than 40 children from kindergarten through fourth grade are enrolled, with programs at Pleasant View and Eagle offering separate beginner and advanced instruction. Registration for second semester is now open and new students of all levels are welcome. Register at http://programs.zionsvilleeaglerec.com/french-2013-2014.cfm

Students from both the beginner and advanced classes sang “Vive le vent” – aka “Jingle Bells” – during the program finale at Eagle Elementary.
