Voters will see a familiar site in the mayor’s race on the Republican primary May 5 after Mike Corbett, 60, announced his candidacy for Noblesville mayor. Corbett contested incumbent John Ditslear four years ago in the general election.

After filing his paperwork on Jan. 14, Corbett joined dozens of campaign supporters at The Ville restaurant to officially launch his campaign. Corbett addressed the crowd, claiming

“It’s time for fresh ideas, new energy and a new direction in Noblesville City Hall,” he said.

Corbett said his campaign will build on the base of support he earned in the last general election when he garnered 35 percent of the votes and carried five precincts.

“That kind of support for an independent candidate tells me there’s a lot of unrest in this community,” he said, “and we need to give Republicans a choice in this upcoming primary. I look forward to an exciting and informative campaign.”

Corbett said his campaign priorities are: planning for the future, respect the past, live within our means and think differently. For more information, visit www.mikecorbettformayor.com.
