Zionsville churches unite for Apostle’s Build

Over 50 people gathered in the parking lot at Zionsville Christian Church April 11 for the 2015 Apostles Build kickoff for Boone County Habitat for Humanity. The volunteers built the walls in less than an hour, and by 3 p.m. they were erected at the home site in Lebanon.

Building on site began the week of April 13 and is expected to be complete eight weeks later. Each week teams from two churches will provide labor and meals and the build site. About a dozen Boone County churches are participating in the project.

“Our Apostles Build is really great because it involves so many people from all our Boone County communities, and we really like getting as many people involved in this build as possible,” said Steve Furste, executive director of the Boone County Habitat affiliate.
