Anyone in Carmel or surrounding areas interested in buying a firearm and learning everything about one, as well as use a shooting range now have a place to go. Point Blank Range and Gun Shop offers ranges and a 4,000-square-foot retail floor that will have 700-1100 firearms in stock at any time. It is now open.

President Tom Willingham said that because of the size and the top models that they carry, they already have a unique relationship with distributors. Willingham said that they have a large stock of .22 ammunition which most shops don’t carry.

Although Point Blank is already open, they will host a grand opening later this month.

“I think this entire part of Indiana will be benefited,” Willingham said. “This is a safe place you can come to, it is organized with a range safety officer at all times. You can take a class if you don’t know how to do things, and the benefit to society is demystifying the ownership of firearms.”

Point Blank offers classes, educational courses, NRA basic hand gun courses and sometimes will have advancement classes as well.

“We will have a very good core of offering classes with firearms and the handling of them,” Willingham said.

Despite all the classes and the retail offered, this is a place where people can come and enjoy target shooting as well. Willingham said that the prices are not high, and that people will be shocked when they see what Point Blank has to offer.

Point Blank Range and Gun Shop is located at 1250 City Center Dr. The hours are Monday-Friday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Saturday 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. To learn more, visit pointblank.com. The grand opening is May 29-30.
