M. Evan Kellum, 87, Noblesville, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on June 9. He was born to the late Thomas and Georgia Kellum in Shirley, Ind.

Kellum graduated from Cadiz High School in 1945 and Purdue University in 1949. He moved to Noblesville in 1958 to open and manage a Farm Bureau Insurance office. He was with Farm Bureau for 35 years, and served in management and sales both in Hamilton and Marion counties. He greatly enjoyed his clients and friends.

Kellum was a member of Noblesville First United Methodist Church, John Purdue Club, Indiana Seniors Golf Association, Noblesville Elks Lodge and Senior Citizens Organization of Noblesville through the years. A sports enthusiast, he rooted for all Indiana teams, with Purdue remaining his favorite. He also enjoyed golf and bowling, and a good bridge or gin game gave him great pleasure.

His love for his family, their interests and shared joys will always be remembered. He is survived by his daughters, Beth Kellum, Fishers, and Lisa Kellum, Chicago; and nephew, Tom Kellum, Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his wife of more than 50 years, Joan Kellum; sister, E. Jane Kellum; and brother, Milton T. Kellum.

Visitation will be June 26 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. A service will be held June 27 at 1 p.m. at Noblesville United Methodist Church, 2051 Monument St., Noblesville, with visitation from noon to the time of service. Pastor Dick Judson will officiate. A private burial will be held at a later date.
