Due to the recent storms and flooding, some Zionsville residents have been without power for a long period of time. ZFD received a phone call on July 15 from a Zionsville resident stating she and her family had been without power for more than 36 hours.
They operate on a well and their horses were without water. ZFD visited the home that same day and filled the horse troughs.
The department issued a statement saying: “Although this is not a typical service that ZFD provides, sometimes in these unique situations we find it necessary to serve Zionsville in ‘not so typical’ ways.”
