Carmel firefighters put out house fire, rescue family cat



Carmel firefighters put out a blaze at a home in the 10900 block of College Place Drive on Wednesday morning. Upon arrival, fire crews saw smoke from the front door and located the fire through a bedroom window. No one was inside the home.

Firefighters entered the home and quickly extinguished the flames. They removed a family cat and administered oxygen to help it recover. The cause of the fire and damages are still be to determined.
