Connie Orr, 69, Noblesville, died Oct. 23 at St.Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. She was born on Dec. 14, 1945 to Edwin R. and Ethel V. (Binkelmann) Waldecker in Dearborn, Mich. and moved to Noblesville in 2006.
Connie graduated from Edsel Ford High School in Dearborn, Mich. and had worked in housekeeping for Heartland Healthcare in Anderson and also in Dearborn Heights, Mich. for 15 years. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Noblesville, where she enjoyed participating and volunteering in the coffee hour. She loved shopping, talking on the phone and spending time with her church family. She also enjoyed a good glass of Vernor’s ginger ale.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Orr (fiancé Tosha Begley) and Rick Orr (fiancé Wendi Carlini and her son, Zach); three grandchildren, Alyse Michelle Orr, Jordon Orr and Michael Orr; brother, Richard Waldecker; aunt, Geraldine Scharnitzke; nephew, James Waldecker; and several cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Orr, who passed away in 1998.
Services were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 26 at Christ Lutheran Church, 10055 E. 186th St., in Noblesville, with visitation beginning at noon. Rev. Adrian Piazza will officiate. Burial will be at Crownland Cemetery in Noblesville.
