Two Carmel residents arrested for Westfield burglary

After an investigation regarding a burglary on Grassy Knoll Drive in Westfield on Nov. 11, the Westfield Police Dept. arrested Keontaye Crawford, 21, of Westfield, on Nov. 12 for burglary in connection to the case.

On Nov. 14, Carmel Police Dept. officers served two additional arrest warrants on Dublin Drve in Carmel. The suspects arrested were then taken to the Westfield Police Dept. where detectives proceeded to interview them.

Jeremy Rashawn Grant, 18, of Carmel, was then transported to the Hamilton County Jail and booked on burglary and theft charges.

Justin Floyd Grant, 19, of Carmel, was always taken to the Hamilton County Jail and booked on charges of burglary and theft.

During the Westfield burglary, two rifles, two handguns, cash and electronics were stolen from the home. The motive of the burglary and why the firearms were taken is unknown as of press time. Since the arrests, one handgun and one rifle have been recovered.
