Mary Eckard, of Carmel, a board member for Clay Township, is competing in a national contest with Senior’s Guide magazine, called “Seniors Got Talent.”
Eckard, a former big band singer, is asking for Carmel residents and Current readers to vote for her video. In the video, Eckard sings with a piano accompanist.
If she wins prize money, she plans on donating it to the Carmel Fire Department’s Christmas baskets program.
The contest runs until Nov. 30 and voters can place votes every day until the contest ends.
