Noblesville police spent more than two hours investigating the scene of a single-car crash today, Jan. 13, from approximately 4:32 to 6:50 p.m.

At the scene of the accident, Noblesville Police Dept. Public Information Officer Lt. Bruce Barnes told Current the driver – later identified as Brady Clark, 44, Indianapolis – was driving northbound on S. Eighth Street in downtown Noblesville after losing control of the vehicle “for whatever reason,” Barnes said, colliding first with the building at 24 S. Eighth St., the location of Edward Jones Investments.

“It was a driver and passenger. I don’t know their relationship, but I think it is a father/daughter. The father was driving, and the daughter was a juvenile. I think (she was) a teenager, but still a juvenile,” Barnes said. “Thank goodness nobody was walking on the sidewalk, you know. It just appears as though he was (traveling) northbound and at some point lost control and veered off to the right, bouncing off the wall. It didn’t collide with any other vehicles, just the buildings.”

The vehicle was a 2002 Nissan Altima, and also collided with the east side of the popular Sunrise Café at 809 Conner St.

Barnes told Current both passengers of the vehicle were both being treated at the emergency room at Riverview Health.

“Right now, we’re not event sure if we’re going to reconstruct the accident,” Barnes said. “If the injuries aren’t that significant then we won’t, and it sounds like the most significant (injury) is going to be a wrist injury on the female.”

The Noblesville Police Dept. is actively investigating the accident.
