Over 2,500 pieces of art were submitted to The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Students from Westfield High School won a total of 20 awards for their paintings and photographs.
Congratulations to the following Westfield High School students for their artistic achievement: Megan Hedges (Silver Key), Sarah Jarvis (two Honorable Mention awards), Briana Kennedy (Gold Key, Silver Key and Honorable Mention), Anna Kreag (Honorable Mention), Hana Lutz (Honorable Mention), Lilly Fife (Silver Key), Anna Hopkins (Gold Key and Honorable Mention), Alexandra Krakora (Honorable Mention), Michaela Krawczyk (Gold Key), Shruti Patel (Gold Key and Silver Key), Zachary Raber (two Gold Key awards), Cailyn Surtees (Honorable Mention), Sara Zaloudek (Gold Key and Honorable Mention).
Gold and Silver Key artwork will be on display at Clowes Memorial Hall at Butler University starting Feb. 3 through Feb. 28. The awards ceremony will be held on Feb. 28 at 2 p.m. All Gold Key winners will have their artwork forwarded to New York City for a National show.
