A group of seventh grade students and one high schooler represented Traders Point Christian Academy at the ACSI Music Festival. Students traveled to Bethel College in Mishawaka to work with clinicians for a day and then perform a concert. They were able to make a few side trips, including a tour of the Conn Selmer woodwind and percussion factory and a visit to the Basilica at Notre Dame

“The Band Festival was a great experience that helped my skills as a flutist. I loved that it was not just the Traders Point band, but lots of bands from all over the state,” Nicole Gruesser said. “We got to meet new people and play with kids that were skilled on their instrument. The conductor was very helpful. I would definitely go again because it was educational and fun. I think this was a good opportunity to use the gifts that God has given us and to challenge ourselves with those gifts.”
