The goal of Women of Impact is to provide financial support for local nonprofits while creating a sense of community. The group believes its collective impact is greater than each of its member’s single efforts. The group hopes to grant $10,000 each quarter to a local nonprofit organization.

“We really feel like this is a great opportunity for women who are interested in serving our community and bonding together with like-minded women, and with a small personal monetary commitment you can make a huge collective impact,” said Gabi Youran, director of community relations for the Community Foundation of Boone County.

Members will commit to a yearly donation to the Women’s Fund endowment and will be able to nominate and present a local nonprofit to receive one of the quarterly grants.

Women of Boone County are invited to attend to the inaugural meeting to join or to learn more information.

There are three membership levels available. A general membership is available for a $500 annual commitment. A shared membership, with a $250 annual commitment, is available for two people, and an associate membership is available for a $100 annual commitment. Associate members must be younger than 30 and have a sponsor. Members will meet quarterly.
