Betty Doreen Dyer, 93, Noblesville, died March 2 at her home with her family at her side.

She was born Jan. 16, 1924 in Wellington, Kan., to Floyd Ernest and Celeste M. (Hamilton) Woodrich.

She was a graduate of Classen High School in Oklahoma City, OK., with the class of 1942. After his service in the U.S. Army during WWII, Dyer married the love of her life, William Joseph Dyer, Sr. on Jan. 10, 1946. He preceded her in death Nov. 15, 2000.

Betty had worked as a secretary for D-M Associates and later at Equifax, both in Indianapolis, for several years. She had been a Cub Scout leader, a Brownie Scout leader and was active in the Lions Club. She was an active member of Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Noblesville. She enjoyed traveling, needlework, sewing, bridge, stamp-collecting, boating and dancing. Betty loved all animals but especially her feline friend, Angel, and more than anything else, she enjoyed spending time with her family, and her family attested that she lived life to the fullest.

She is survived by her daughters Patricia (Bob) Loutner and Kathleen (Robert) Wyler, son Timothy (Malexie) Dyer, 16 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren with one on the way, daughter-in-law Frances Dyer and sister-in-law Betty Woodrich.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by sons James and William J. Dyer, Jr., grandson Kevin Wyler, brother Ernest M. Woodrich and stillborn siblings Letty L. Woodrich and Frederick John Woodrich.
